Veteran South Indian actor Kamal Haasan stars in Thug Life, directed by acclaimed filmmaker Mani Ratnam. In the film, Haasan appears opposite Trisha Krishnan, who is 28 years younger than him.

The trailer of Thug Life was released on 17 May. It includes a scene where Kamal Haasan is seen sharing a kiss with Trisha Krishnan, which has sparked mixed reactions among viewers.

While many netizens praised the trailer and expressed excitement about the film, some viewers said they felt uncomfortable with the scene and criticised it on social media.

Some comments questioned the significant age gap between the two actors, while others described the portrayal as unusual.

However, several fans defended the scene, arguing that such elements may be necessary to portray a character realistically and that the storyline involves an older gangster developing a relationship with a younger woman.

The much-discussed film Thug Life is scheduled for theatrical release on 5 June. The film also marks the reunion of director Mani Ratnam and Kamal Haasan after 37 years.
