To get through the entire day feeling well, it is important to start the morning in a planned way. What you do in the first hour after waking up has the greatest impact on your body. Developing good habits can help you stay healthy while also maintaining a natural glow in your skin.
Even after waking up, a lingering drowsiness—known as sleep inertia—often remains. To fully awaken both body and mind, it is helpful to start moving. A short walk or simple movements such as rotating your neck, arms and legs can release stiffness and gradually make you feel more alert.
As your body becomes active, blood circulation to the brain improves and your muscles begin to function more effectively. Splashing cold water on your face can further stimulate the nervous system, leaving you feeling refreshed. Exposure to morning sunlight also helps, as natural light signals the brain that it is daytime, helping sleepiness fade more quickly.
After several hours of sleep, the body may become slightly dehydrated. Drinking about half a litre of water with a pinch of salt can help restore hydration quickly. Alternatively, a small amount of honey may be added instead of salt.
Engaging in light exercise for five to ten minutes in the morning can improve blood circulation, reduce stiffness, and help maintain energy levels throughout the day. Regular movement may also contribute to healthier-looking skin.
Breakfast should be eaten calmly rather than in a rush. Allowing at least twenty minutes for your morning meal can improve digestion and overall well-being. Waking up a little earlier can help ensure enough time for a relaxed breakfast.
Including antioxidant-rich foods in your morning diet can also be beneficial. Nuts, raisins, carrots, apples and grapes help protect cells from damage and support overall health.
