Honor Bangladesh has officially launched the Guinness World Records–holding Honor X9c smartphone in the local market, branding it as “The Unbreakable Phone”. The device is being presented as a new benchmark for durability and resilience in the mid-range smartphone category.

The Honor X9c earned its Guinness World Records recognition after a large-scale drop test in which 264 participants simultaneously dropped the handset from height to test its strength. The test led to the device being recognised as one of the most durable smartphones to date.

Alongside durability, the phone offers enhanced protection features, long-lasting battery performance, a high-quality display, an advanced camera system, and an AI-powered user experience. The design also reflects a modern and refined aesthetic.

The Honor X9c features a new-generation anti-drop display capable of withstanding falls from heights of up to two metres without damage. With ultra-tempered glass and a resistance shield, the smartphone is claimed to be 166 per cent more durable than its predecessor, the X9b.

It also includes a three-layer waterproof structure providing 360-degree water protection, along with an IP65M dust-resistance rating.

The handset offers a large 6,600mAh silicon-carbon battery. With 66W fast-charging technology, the device can charge from zero to 80 per cent in around 42 minutes, while a five-minute charge can deliver up to seven hours of additional battery life.

The battery has also secured top ranking in DXOMARK’s global battery performance tests, supported by an armour-level protective coating designed to improve energy efficiency.

In terms of photography, the Honor X9c features an AI-powered 108-megapixel ultra-sensing camera with a 1/1.67-inch sensor and optical image stabilisation (OIS). This allows users to capture clear images while reducing blur caused by hand movement.

Speaking about the launch, Abdullah Al Mamun, Head of Business at Honor Bangladesh, said the company is pleased to introduce what it considers its most powerful smartphone so far. He highlighted its durability, battery life and advanced camera technology, expressing confidence that users will appreciate its features.

The Honor X9c is available in Titanium Purple, Titanium Black and Jade Cyan colour options. The variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage is priced at BDT 44,999 in the Bangladeshi market.
