In June 2023, James and Namia Amin met after a concert in Los Angeles. From that evening, a gradual closeness developed between them. Although Namia returned to Bangladesh after James’s US tour ended, she later travelled again to be with him.

A year after their first meeting, the couple married on 12 June 2024 in a private ceremony in Dhaka. Following the wedding, they began living together at a residence in Banani.

Namia Amin is a dancer who was largely raised in the United States. Her parents, Nurul Amin and Nahid Amin, are currently settled permanently in America. Her journey from dance to marriage has been described by many as a modern-day romantic story.

Within a year of their marriage, the couple welcomed further happy news. On 8 June 2025 at 3:35 a.m. local time, their first son was born at Huntington Hospital in New York. The child has been named Jibran Anam.

James expressed gratitude following the birth, saying that by the grace of Allah they were doing well and requesting prayers for their family.

This marks James’s third marriage, bringing new responsibilities and a new phase of family life. His first wife was actress Rathi (married in 1991 and divorced in 2003), and his second wife was Benazir Sazzad (married in the early 2000s and divorced in 2014).

From his first marriage, he has one son and one daughter, while his second marriage resulted in one daughter. Now, with a new family, he is entering another chapter of his personal life.

Friends believe the new family responsibilities and experiences may influence his creativity, potentially inspiring new music and artistic ideas. James has already hinted at upcoming releases, saying that although it has been some time since a new song came out, new music will be released soon.
